Sr. SEC Financial Reporting Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY:
Crinetics is seeking a highly motivated Senior Financial Reporting Analyst to assist the accounting and finance team in various functions in order to facilitate timely and accurate financial reporting and compliance.
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
These may include but are not limited to:
  • Assist in preparing the Company’s internal and external financial statements (10-K, 10Q, etc.) in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and SEC guidelines, including footnote disclosures
  • Gather and prepare supporting documents for the financial statements
  • Assist in maintenance of internal controls in various areas as it relates to the Company’s internal control over financial reporting including the review of account reconciliations, journal entries, and other support for proper documentation and evidence of review
  • Assist external auditors and SOX auditors with interim and year-end audit requests
  • Assist in gathering data from various departments for reporting and audit needs
  • Creating worksheets for account support
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, with emphasis in accounting, finance or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, public accounting preferred
  • Strong knowledge of general accounting and internal controls
  • Strong analytical and writing skills and ability to communicate effectively (both verbal and written)
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships
  • Preferred Requirements:
  • CPA or CPA candidate, Master of Accountancy, or MBA preferred
  • Life Science Industry experience preferred
  • Strong organization skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
 
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
Equipment:   PC, scanners, voice mail and e-mail systems, and common office machines, or ability to be trained.
Software Knowledge:  Windows, MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).  NetSuite experience preferred but not required.  Experience with Donnelley Financial Active Disclosure product or other SEC filing software preferred but not required.

Physical Activities:  On a continuous basis, sit at desk for a long period of time; intermittently answer telephone and write or use a keyboard to communicate through written means. The Anticipated Base Salary Range: $60,000.00 – $90,000.00

The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience and education.
