Omar Hamdy, Ph.D. serves as Chief Portfolio & Development Officer and joined Crinetics in 2023 in support of achieving corporate goals and leading the company’s Portfolio Strategy Team, focused on product strategies and advancing Crinetics’ deep pipeline. 

Prior to Crinetics, he worked at Applied Molecular Transport leading the program management and portfolio strategy team and driving immunology assets through clinical development. Previously, Omar held project management roles and scientific positions in oncology drug discovery at AbbVie and Stemcentrx (later purchased by AbbVie). 

Omar holds a doctorate in chemistry from the University of California, Riverside and a master’s degree in business administration from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley.
