Investigator Initiated Studies (IIS)

Crinetics supports independent research through its Investigator-Initiated Studies (IIS) program. These grants provide funding and/or product support for studies that advance disease understanding and explore potential treatments in Crinetics’ areas of interest, with the goal of improving patient care. Crinetics reviews unsolicited proposals from healthcare professionals, scientists, researchers, and institutions seeking research support.

You may qualify if you meet the following requirements:

  • Deliverables are tangible and follow scientific methods.
  • Crinetics’ support of the research must be clearly acknowledged and disclosed in all publication of study data and results.
  • The IIS applicant is solely responsible and exercises full control of the execution and planning of the study.
  • Must complete an agreement with Crinetics.
  • Research demonstrates alignment with Crinetics’ research areas of interest.

Crinetics is happy to consider investigator-initiated research proposals relevant to these disease states, in the following areas:

Paltusotine

  • Pathophysiologic Profiling: Further characterize and understand the underlying pathophysiology of acromegaly including the identification of emerging biomarkers that reflect disease activity, symptomology, and progression.
  • Patient Journey: Enhance the acromegaly patient journey by improving early diagnosis, optimizing treatment pathways, and supporting daily disease management through real-world evidence and personalized care strategies.
  • Patient Centered Insights: Advance understanding of the patient and caregiver experience by evaluating patient-reported outcomes (such as symptom burden, quality of life, and perceived barriers to care), measures of caregiver burden, and correlations between these patient-reported outcomes and clinical biomarkers.
  • Broaden Clinical Potential: Explore the potential of paltusotine in additional disease areas and patient populations, investigate biomarkers and symptoms not assessed in current studies, and evaluate the impact of combination therapies on clinical outcomes.
