Meet Nick

Tell us about yourself, your position, background, motivations.

I’m a scientist at heart, I love learning about the world around me.  My curiosity in science led me to study biology in undergrad at Allegheny College.  I happened to discover Clinical Operations at a small biotech in Cambridge, MA and found the combination of science and business the perfect role for me.  I completed a Master of Public Heath in biostatistics & epidemiology at Tufts University while working full-time.  I’ve spent the past 15 years working in Clinical Operations which entails working with an internal cross-functional team, clinical sites, CROs, and vendors to oversee the operations of clinical trials.  I’ve found my career in clinical development very rewarding as it allows me the opportunity to apply science to improve patients’ lives.  I currently work as a Director of Clinical Operations at Crinetics and oversee multiple global late-stage studies for our lead molecule, paltusotine.

What about Crinetics makes you the most excited to work here?

#1: The people!  When I interviewed at Crinetics, I was impressed by how competent, motivated, and genuine the people were.  Almost 3 years later, the team has grown significantly but continues to foster the same positive environment.  It’s an honor to be part of a team that holds high standards, challenges you to be your best, and that’s committed to make a difference for patients.  #2: The science!  The founders of Crinetics are scientists dedicated toward building a company with science and drug discovery at its core.  Crinetics is poised for an exciting future with its solid foundation in endocrinology, a growing pipeline, and a proven track record in clinical development.

What is your advice on people hoping to join crinetics?
