Meet Marie

Tell us about yourself, your position, background, motivations.

I am a native San Diegan with familial roots in Guam and the Philippines. I joined Crinetics in December 2021 and am a member of our amazing Executive Assistant team.  I directly support our Chief Human Resources Officer and the HR team as well as the General Counsel and the Legal and Compliance team. It is very rewarding to be a part of an organization with a goal of making a meaningful impact in healthcare and changing patient lives for the better. Because we spend so much of our time at work, it is important to me to enjoy who I work with and be a part of the greater good.

What about Crinetics makes you the most excited to work here?

I am mother of a child with a rare disease.  My now 8-year-old daughter was diagnosed with Idiopathic Pulmonary Hemosiderosis (IPH) 3 years ago.  Although we don’t study her disease here, it is the most incredible opportunity to be surrounded by people who want to make a difference in the lives of people who are living with a rare disease.  It is inspiring how passionate our colleagues are.  I am proud to tell people I work at Crinetics and all the important work we do.

What is your advice on people hoping to join Crinetics?

Whether you are new in your career or at a mid or senior level, it is a great place for mentorship. Also, if you are someone that enjoys building and growing with a company this is the place for you.
