Meet Doris
Tell us about yourself, your position, background, motivations.
I was born and raised in Minneapolis, MN and moved to San Diego for college. I got my BS in Biochemistry at the University of California, San Diego. After working in the lab for a few years, I discovered my calling was to be a Project Manager in the biotech/pharmaceutical world. This role was a perfect fit for me because it allows me to operate and contribute to the company at the program level, while still getting to be close to the science. My motivation is to be able to contribute to efforts that go towards ultimately improving human health, all while continuing to learn and expand my knowledge about drug development and commercialization.
What about Crinetics makes you the most excited to work here?
Being a part of a great community of people who are not only very skilled in their craft and field of expertise, but are also very kind, encouraging, and supportive.
How do you feel about the company and where it’s headed?
We have a great team of smart people who has been able to accomplish a lot in a short amount of time and will continue to do so as the company continues to grow.
What is your advice on people hoping to join Crinetics?
Ask a lot of questions, do not hesitant to provide feedback and suggestions to management, put in the time to learn about a discipline area that is new to you, and build as many relationships as you can both inside and outside of your group.
What is your personal motto?
“Don’t downgrade your dream to fit your reality. Upgrade your conviction to match your destiny.”
