Meet Janina

Tell us about yourself!

I’m currently an HR Representative, but I have been recently promoted to the Learning & Development Specialist! When I was first hired, my responsibilities included interview scheduling, onboarding, benefits management, and assisting the implementation of new systems. With my new role, I will be identifying and preparing training needed to support individual and organizational development.

What about Crinetics makes you the most excited to work here?

Working at Crinetics fuels my drive and passion in helping others. The brilliant minds I work alongside with are positively impacting patients with rare diseases and spreading awareness for the cause. I am incredibly proud to support these functions, taking us closer to complete our shared goal. Aside from making a difference in peoples’ lives, the people working are such a pleasure to work with. I have never felt so supported and encouraged to think outside the box that it’s honestly humbled me a bit. To me, Crinetics causes a ripple effect – the investment in developing individuals will cause those to influence people around them. I feel like I’ve been directly affected by this, and I am so excited to see what the future holds for us!

What is your advice on people hoping to join Crinetics?

My advice to you is don’t give up! Speaking from experience, if you’re not a fit for the position you initially interviewed for, keep checking our website and applying because this is not a company you’d want to pass up!

What is your personal motto?

Whenever I feel down, I recall my uncle telling me that life is a contradiction, as we will not know the importance of love and joy without feeling discomfort and pain. Achieving your goals will feel so much more satisfying once you reflect on the journey it took to get there.
