Meet Sohail

Tell us about yourself, your position, background, motivations.

My interest in science from an early age led me to study Biochemistry and Analytical Chemistry at the University of Toronto, in Canada. While studying and completing internships, I stumbled upon the world of Clinical Research and felt it is my calling! I jumped straight into Clinical Operations after completing my education and have since enjoyed being immersed into the drug development process with meaningful impact in the world.

I have since continued my journey of personal development by completing my Master’s in Clinical Research at Drexel University and remain committed to advocating for the field of Clinical Research to Scientists and Clinicians alike. Clinical Operations has been an understated but critical field that many students and early career candidates are not aware of.

What about Crinetics makes you the most excited to work here?

Patient centricity is at the absolute core of Crinetics. Every single discussion and decision made within the organization puts the well-being and interest of our patients first. Being a part of an organization that focuses on patients with these core values and delivering meaningful impact is of great significance to me.

What is your advice on people hoping to join Crinetics?

If you enjoy getting exposure and learning all parts of the business, this is the place for you. Be prepared to be challenged, yet also rewarded. The organization is often seeking driven candidates that are passionate about Clinical Research & Development, great team players, and tenaciously interested in growing beyond their comfort zone.
