Meet Eduardo

Tell us about yourself, your position, background, motivations.

I was born and raised in Tijuana, Mexico, which is a city that’s immediately south of the border from San Diego, California. I was lucky to get a scholarship to study Medicine in Monterrey, Mexico and, immediately after graduation, I started working in Clinical Research in Clinical Operations. While I was working, I completed a Master’s degree in clinical research at UCSD that opened a lot of doors within the industry. Because of my medical background, I got the opportunity to work as a Clinical Scientist at Crinetics. My biggest motivation is to impact as many patients in need as possible by helping to find safe and efficient treatments for serious unmet needs.

What about Crinetics makes you the most excited to work here?

The people! I quickly felt that my colleagues’ #1 priorities were science driven decisions and to truly and compassionately help the patients in need. I immediately felt this since the interview process and talking directly with the Executives during onboarding.

What is your advice on people hoping to join crinetics?

Just be yourself. Crinetics’ culture focuses a lot on supporting everyone’s style of work and personal approach to the day-to-day responsibilities, as long as you share the company’s own values and vision.
